the kids summer to-do list

ok....here's the list we started. some of this won't happen, but a lot of it will. i love having a list, because, well, aside from LOVING to write lists, it gives us a backup plan. nothing to do today? what's on the list?

little mama and the boy made up MOST of this list....if some of the phrasing is off...

1) go to gymnastics
2) go to chuck e cheese
3) go to pump it up
4) swim at nana's house
5) water balloon fight
6) go to silly grandpa's house
7) visit Ripley's believe it or not
8) visit the zoo and play in the water
9) watch a hockey game
10) play at the sprayground
11) see Toy Story 3
12) watch a Tinkerbell movie
13) visit the library
14) visit silly grandpa's museum (the ft. worth science museum....)
15) play movie theatre at home
16) see the beauty and the beast musical
17) see giggle, giggle. quack (a play)
18) go to the beach and find seashells and go in the water
19) go to mcanally grandmas house
20) find a new place to swim
21) airplane museum (both frontiers of flight and cavanagh)
22) ice skating
23) roller skating
24) play at the park
25) see the circus
26) go to the rangers game
27) go get peaches and eat ice cream (visit hamm's orchard in terrell)
28) go to the bakery and get lots of cookies
29) see a summer parade (i have no idea what that means....)

AND so far, in the first week of summer, we have done #3, 5, 10, 13 and 19! with plans and tickets for many more.....
and as always....suggestions are loved....

the summer countdown is on!

ok! so, there are now only TWELVE more working days this school year! unbeliveable!

and i was SO sure this year would never end! its been a rough one!

BUT, that does mean it is time for our annual summer "to-do" list.

however, i don't have it available tonight! (cause we haven't started it.....but it will be at least started by tomorrow night!)

my lofty goal is to get out and do SOMETHING each and every day. which will be a huge challenge, given the way things are changing at our house! more on that tomorrow too!

so if you want to throw your best summer ideas out there, HOLLA!

Home today...

i'm at home today. we are having a new heater and A/C installed today. i hate to waste a day...but sheesh, it's got to be done. both of the old systems are OLDER than i am. which is now (sadly) getting up there! haha!

anyways, thought i would avoid the work i brought home from school today for a little longer. so i am posting again. alert the media! twice in a week! haha!

that's all we are up to...shuttling back and forth between soccer and tball games! sweetpea is a good sport, and loves to hang out wherever we are!

we are starting to get ready for summer, too. the big kids are going to their daycare part time this summer. sweetpea will be home with me. i have re-upped our science place and zoo memberships. my dad bought a membership to the fabulous new/rennovated ft. worth museum of science, and my mom is a member of the dallas world aquarium. now all i have left to do is make our travel plans (hoping to go to both the beach and the mountains....) and find either gymnastics or dance camps for the kiddos....

and of course, we have MUCH to do to prepare for this august...when little mama enters KINDERGARDEN at st. p's! YEA!!! we have to get uniforms, find the "perfect" lunchbox (her words, not mine!), backpack and shoes! she is soooo funny!

ONLY 21 more days in this school year. WOOOHOOO!
